That's not to mention that it would pretty much be a repeat of the cantina brawl in A New Hope, and The Force Awakens has already gorged itself on aping that movie. ![]() As if The Force Awakens doesn’t have enough fan service, do we really need a scene of Chewie ripping off a character’s arms to remind us of when Han Solo said in A New Hope that wookies rip off limbs when they lose? What purpose does that serve in The Force Awakens? Does that tell us anything new about Chewbacca? Does that tell us anything new about the Star Wars universe? Of course not. I’m so glad this scene didn’t make it into the movie.
